{"id":458,"date":"2017-01-07T08:35:50","date_gmt":"2017-01-07T07:35:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.cesarinadevitis.it\/?page_id=458"},"modified":"2022-11-02T21:45:09","modified_gmt":"2022-11-02T20:45:09","slug":"who-am-i","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.cesarinadevitis.it\/index.php\/who-am-i\/","title":{"rendered":"Biography"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\"><span title=\"Sono nata a Taranta Peligna, piccolo paese in provincia di Chieti. \">I was born in Taranta Peligna, a small town in the Abruzzo region.<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span title=\"Nel 1968 mi sono trasferita insieme alla mia famiglia a New York dove nel 1972 ho conseguito il diploma al Long Island City High School.\">In 1968 I moved to New York where in 1972 I graduated at the Long Island City High School. <\/span><span title=\"Dal 1972 al 1975 ho frequentato la Fashion Institute of Technology specializzandomi in \u201cfashion drawing\u201d .\">Afterwards I attended the Fashion Institute of Technology majoring in &#8220;fashion drawing&#8221; .\u00a0 My passion for the studies of the human figure continued at the School of Visual Art taking\u00a0 anatomy courses<\/span><span title=\"Da qui \u00e8 nata la passione per la rappresentazione della figura umana che ho approfondito con corsi di anatomia artistica alla School of Visual Art.. \">..<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span title=\"Nel 1975 sono approdata a Milano dove la necessit\u00e0 di lavorare mi ha allontanato temporaneamente dal mondo artistico.\">In 1975 I came to Milan, where the need to work drove me temporarily away\u00a0 from the artistic world. \u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><span title=\"Dopo un lungo periodo di pausa, ho riprenso in mano il carboncino, frequentando a Brera corsi di disegno e anatomia della figura umana. \">After a long break, took my charcoal again&#8230; and went to Brera\u00a0 where I finally continued to draw.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span title=\"Per anni ho continuato a disegnare il nudo approfondendone le tecniche e le forme.\">From then on the charcoal\u00a0 wasn&#8217;t my only tool, I started\u00a0 experimenting other techniques giving me new ways of expression.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span title=\"Per anni ho continuato a disegnare il nudo approfondendone le tecniche e le forme.\">\u00a0<\/span><span title=\"Successivamente ho affrontato la scultura dove il soggetto principale continua ad essere il corpo umano nelle sue molteplici sfumature.\">I later approached the sculpture where the main subject remains the human body, \u00a0 With the clay\u00a0 I\u00a0 felt as if I was giving birth and life to my &#8220;figures&#8221; . \u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Most of my works are in terracotta, to which I transmit character with different techniques (raku, bitumen, engobes and others). During some symposia I have used large tree trunks, giving them a new artistic life.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>With the bronze I created a large sculpture installed permanently at the Monumental Cemetery in Milan.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span title=\"Ultima scoperta: il legno, materiale vivo, con il quale ho partecipato a diversi simposi.\">\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I was born in Taranta Peligna, a small town in the Abruzzo region.
